Alright......they were only 4 yrs and 22 months, cute as can be and so excited to hand out candy to others. One was my son, the other was my Goddaughter. My Goddaughter would lean out the door waving lollipops and try to yell "free candy", (as I taught her) to the best of her ability. They tossed hand fulls of candy to the kids they really liked. And my son did us proud by, without prompting from us, razzing this teenager who came up with a costume that could barely be a costume. "Hey!" says my 4-year-old to the 14-year-old real serious like. "Where's yer costume?!" as he holds pack the piece of candy he was going to initially give him. LOL!! He is well trained for Halloween in our little village.
Oh, so our total.....rough estimate was 700-800 trick-or-treaters. A neighbor who give out glow-sticks and such had a count of 763. That is down by several hundred from last year but considering it was on and off rain with on being a down pour, 700 hundred is damn impressive. I still have left over candy though. :-(

Are you freaking kidding me?! Where do they all come from?! And I thought I had so many more this year for having gone through 2 bags of Snickers, 1 each of 3 Musketeers, Baby Ruth's & Milky Ways plus a half box of tiny Goldfish bags. Sheesh! Do y'all have to take shifts so you can take your son trick or treating? I definitely have to come up there one Halloween!
That is a ton of trick-or-treaters! We went to our old neighborhood with some friends. A good portion of the people who live there are elderly and there aren't a ton of families so you're lucky to have 100 trick-or-treaters.

We have an open house w/ random friends and my parents. We've always got someone to man the door. Always good to have a new-comer because they're excited to help hand out candy.
Jo - to answer your question, who knows where they all come from. Some from outside the village where they don't have a development to T-or-T in, some the parents grew up here so they bring their kids, and others just come to see it I guess.
